Assistance for Families Impacted

The recent tragic events in Chesapeake Beach have led to an outpour of community members, civic organizations and local businesses seeking a channel to help the families impacted by the recent fires.

Listed below are ways you can help:

Town Hall will collect gift cards for purchases of clothing, personal items and groceries. Gift Cards can be dropped off at Town Hall from 8:30-4:30 pm. After hours donations can be placed in the secure drop box. Gift cards will be distributed through the Department of Social Services.

United Way make a monetary donation to the Chesapeake Beach Fire Relief Fund. Donations will go directly to the families impacted https://www.unitedwaycalvert.org/donate-chesapeake-beach-fire-relief-fund

The Northeast Community Center is collecting water, clothing and non-perishable food items, during open hours. American Legion will also be collecting the same donations from 12-8 pm daily.

CVS Pharmacy will be providing contributions of personal items.

Donations can be made to Red Cross. Donors can specify the community for funds to be contributed locally. https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html

Local businesses are encouraged to notify Town Hall if they are organizing a fund drive.
