LAST ONE OF THE YEAR! 2018 Moonlight Cruises – The Town of Chesapeake Beach invites you to spend a summer evening cruising aboard “Miss Lizzy,” docked at Rod ‘N’ Reel Marina. Miss Lizzy is sixty-five feet long and carries 65 passengers. We are offering one more cruise date for Summer 2018; Saturday August 25 from 7 – 9 pm. The cost is $32 per person. Although children are welcome, these cruises are more suited for adults. Tickets are available at Town Hall if paying with cash, check or credit card. B Street Slope Assessment and the Beach Boardwalk Closure – The Town has contracted a geotechnical engineer to provide a global stability analysis of the B street slope after the slope has showed signs of deterioration and damaged the Boardwalk. The geotechnical engineer has provided August 25th as the expected completion date for the analysis. Once reviewed, the Town will have a better understanding of the work that is needed to ensure the boardwalk is safe to repair and reopen to the public. We thank you for your patience while this review takes place.

Join the Twin Beach Opioid Abuse Awareness Committee at the Northeast Community Center to learn about addiction recovery support strategies and resources from local health professionals; learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of opioid overdose and administer naloxone; and dispose of unwanted prescription drugs (www.twinbeachoaa.org/events).
