FREE EVENT: Behind the Tap Room. Head Brewer, Jeremiah Rasmussen, has agreed to open the back of our microbrewery to the public and invite YOU to come watch him brew! Ask questions, learn about the brewing process, and maybe even lend a hand here and there. No cover charge. The tap room will also be open and we will continue our Limited Edition small batch releases every week as well. See you on Thursday November 30, 4-8pm.  Scorpion Brewing Co. is a Microbrewery located in the heart of beautiful Calvert County in Southern Maryland. We pride ourselves on producing beer made with local ingredients and embrace the flexibility, adaptability and experimentation a small microbrewery allows, releasing a Limited Edition beer almost every week. November 22 – Town Hall will close at 12pm for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and will reopen Monday November 27 at 8:30am.

November 26 – 4:30 pm. The Town of Chesapeake Beach invites you to “Light Up the Town” with Special Guests Santa & Mrs. Claus at Town Hall. For an event flyer, click here .

November 27 – December 15.  Call Town Hall (410-257-2230) to have your home, business or boat judged in the Holiday Lights Contest.

November 30– 6:00pm.  Ethics Committee meeting in Town Hall Council Chambers.

December 1 –Jack’s Baked Chicken Dinner. Join us for an informal dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. hosted by the American Legion Stallings Williams Post 206,  on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach, in the lower-level dining room. December 2 – 12 Noon. Annual Pat Carpenter Holiday Parade from First Street to Seventh Street along Bay Avenue in North Beach.  Parade Participants should check-in at Seventh Street & Chesapeake Avenue by 11 am.   Parade Viewers should claim their place no later than Noon. Everyone is welcome to “Be a Part of the Parade” – Decorated Bicycles, Tricycles and Wagons, Marching Bands and Elected Officials, Teams, Cheerleaders and Other Youth Groups, Motorcycles and Antique Cars, Pets and their owners, Floats representing Businesses, Organizations and Churches. December 2 – Doors open at 5 pm and Bingo starts at 6pm. Children’s Christmas Bingo at North Beach Volunteer Fire Department Hall Admission is $8.00 per person. Lots of fun for the entire family. To benefit The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Food and drink available for purchase. No outside food allowed.

The Recreation Cheer Season has come to an end. Calvert All Stars is offering All-star Prep Teams for those cheer athletes who want to continue their cheer experience.  ..NO TRAVEL.. NO TRYOUTS..  Practices for these teams begin after the recreational and high school football cheer season ends (December). Teams practice each week for no more than 1.5 hours. Teams may attend 4 to 6 local events from January through May. Program is for Ages 8 to 14 (as of August 31, 2017). Tuition is “all-inclusive” and includes practice, uniform, and competition fees = $600 total for all!!!  Tumbling classes may be added for a discounted rate of $25 per month. Calvert All Stars, Inc. is a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 1997 to provide a positive sports experience for the youth of Southern Maryland.  You can register online here or here .
